LULL: the new alternative rock/grunge formed during the pandemic – MUSOSOUP

lull

The band has released 3 new singles so far and they will be on your favorite playlist for sure!

And if I were you, I would follow them on Spotify right now, as their plan is to release several singles that will be included on their EP and LP during the year.

You must be asking “Okay, but who are they? Where did you discover this band?”. Diário de Shows is the new Music Curator of independent artists from MUSOSOUP, and that’s how I found the band LULL. I really liked the song so I came to tell you about this. It is worth it!

Andy (vocals and guitar) told me that in mid-april there will be a livestream and I’m already looking forward to watching it! When I find out the details, I’ll tell you here.

And do you want to know a LULL curiosity? They never played together in a live show! But, they guaranteed that as soon as everything come back to normal, they will take their heavy sound to the UK stage. Who knows, maybe one day they’ll find the way to Brazil too, right?

Newcastle Upon Tyne

Newcastle is a city in northeastern England, where LULL was born. Although the musical project emerged in the midst of the hardcore scene, it brings with it the sound of alternative rock with grunge characteristics. According to the band, the heavy and melodic sound are influences of Citizen, Basement and Alexionfire.

Members:

  • Grant Andrews – vocals and guitars
  • Jack Jacob – drums
  • Mitch Tilley – bass
  • Jordan Evans – guitars
  • Martin Riley – guitars

The first song I heard from LULL was the single released in january 2021, entitled “The Great Strain”. In the first seconds you can already feel the power of the bass in your chest and the melody is contagious! It doesn’t take long for you to find yourself shaking your head to the rhythm of the song hahaha.

If you think that although LULL has short time on the road, and they are one of those garage bands that still has a lot to evolve, you are wrong! In addition to the musical luggage that the members carry, the music press is already keeping an eye on them. The band already had the opportunity to broadcast their music on radio stations such as BBC and Amazing Radio.

Listen now to the single “The Great Strain”  to understand the potential of this band everyone is talking about!

“The Great Strain”

Like a flick book we’re turning the pages so frequently and i can’t stop trying to find out how this will end. No i can’t stop.

lullI can’t wait, can’t you see the world is crumbling?

From the great strain

Oh well world keep on turning.

I can’t wait, can’t you see the world is crumbling?

From the great strain

Oh well world keep on turning.

And it’s ok you’re not use to change

Oh well world keep on turning.

If you liked the song as much as I did, support LULL on their social medias: instagram | facebook | youtube.
