#DIÁRIODESHOWSINDICA: 10 songs to listen to this week – MUSOSOUP

Check out now the second list of the best singles that were released on MUSOSOUP in February!

STAND -IN – Marquee

STAND-IN aka Anthony Westlake, who after years of being part of the ballet corps of great international pop artists such as P!NK and Christina Aguilera, discovered a new passion: composing. And despite his recent career, he demonstrates in his new single “Marquee”, all the know-hall he has accumulated during those years in the music business.

The track starts with cozy guitar chords, as does his voice. STAND-IN says the story of “Marquee” is about loss.

“I had a stroke of luck in 2016 and I never stopped working. For some, I was living the dream. But I lost touch with myself and so many people I cared about along the way. It took me 5 years to realize that.” – says the singer.

“Marquee” is a story of loss. Told from the perspective of an all-knowing party, it details the story of best friends breaking up. A girl with big dreams, and a boy that has everything she ever wanted. He points out how the entertainment industry changes people. “Seasons never change in LA.” At its core, this song is about how the environment will shape you and, without caution, can leave you somewhere you never want to be: alone.”

DWOWDO – TAT

Dwowdo‘s release, titled “TAT” is an instrumental track with electronic elements that he composed, straight from his bedroom, while he was missing music festivals (we know that feeling, right?).

“It’s about wanting to be saved from the emotional torment you might go through in life.” – says the artist. Although the track does not contain sung lyrics, Dwowdo was able to translate all the feelings he was trying to express in every beat of “TAT”.

I selected this single for the simple fact that I found it extremely relaxing and a great option to let it play while we work, you know? Listen to “TAT” and maybe it’s also that moment of peace in your chaotic day.

TATUM QUINN – You Lost Me

Singer Tatum Quinn is one of the rock n’ roll names you should pay close attention to. As soon as I heard the single “You Lost Me” for the first time, I imagined her on stage and I confess that I would very much like to be in the audience. The track features a round composition with the main elements of classic and alternative rock, without leaving aside the singer’s impeccable tuning, which shows that Tatum Quinn did all the Berklee College of Music homework correctly.

“You Lost Me” is the second in a trilogy of powerful, scrappy pop/rock anthems that overcome painful moments from past relationships. Honest, unapologetic, and full of attitude, this release is a rallying cry for anyone who needs to take back control.

Quinn says she was bullied as a teenager due to her dyslexia and her passion for music helped her get through these moments, so one of her goals is to inspire her fans to face any kind of challenge.

Listen to “You Lost Me” now and recharge your energies to deal with any kind of situation!

MATT GOMBAU – Breathe

Matt Gombau is one of those artists that win me over right away for the timbre of his voice. So I close my eyes and just enjoy the sonic beauty that travels through my ears. I confess that it is even difficult to put into words the reason why I would like you to know his work too. It’s a “hear and feel” kind of thing.

Influenced by artists such as Thom Yorke, Damien Rice, and Eddie Vedder, Matt got together with some friends to work on a composition that in the end, ended up being put aside and then came “Breathe”. An extremely relaxing indie folk track.

“Breathe is about daydreams and crazy projects that we have that never come true. It’s also about the desire to escape society to refocus on yourself.” – declared the singer.

Matt left a special message for anyone reading the #DIÁRIODESHOWINDICA: “Music is love, so if you want to spread love, spread music!”.

UNDER DELUSION – Lover

Under Delusion, the alternative rock band from Moscow that has been through #DIÁRIODESHOWINDICA, has just released another song that will make you addicted! “Lover” is the title track of the band’s debut album that brings together synthesizers, a seductive groove, the purity of the melody, and the singer’s iconic voice.

If you like the sound of bands like Royal Blood and The Pretty Reckless, definitely Under Delusion will be on your playlist too (if you haven’t already, as I said, this isn’t the first time I’ve recommended one of them to you).

The single is capable of involving anyone to the point that it is impossible to deny the vocalist’s request when she sings in the chorus “I want to be your Lover”, accompanied by synthesizers and guitar riffs that create a psychedelic atmosphere. “Lover” is the result of the band’s talent and dedication to composing a track that consolidates their presence in the darkwave genre.

pMad – Medicine

pMad has just released his second single, “Medicine”. The haunting voice singer is going to great lengths to reach the goal of spreading his music to the world with engaging instrumentals and inspiring lyrics. On “Medicine” he declares: “we all have our special moment, addiction has its own reward and we all have the power within us!!”

The striking bass lines, the well-crafted guitar riffs and the rhythmic groove of the drums, mark the pulsating personality of pMad‘s gothic rock. In an introspective way, the singer’s second release takes the listener to a reflective moment about life, hope and especially the ability to believe in their own potential.

This is definitely another gift track for dark wave fans, listen now and add it to your playlist:

THE ROLF – You Are Here

The Rolf is a solo project by Per Dahlquist, where he composed and produced the entire single from his home studio. The indie rock track features during the entire chorus, in the singer’s strident voice, the following question: “where are we now?”. After a few bars of a soft melody, some voices appear asking more questions, like when we end up talking to ourselves inside our head, you know?

According to Per, “You Are Here” is about what his fans are used to hearing: alienation. “It could be from society, who you love, from a context or even from yourself. An absolutely inexhaustible source. It’s mostly about the sadness of not being able to communicate with an older generation due to distance or just mutual disinterest. What’s more, the fear of it circulates, over and over again, with future generations and their loved ones.”

KLEE – Alien

Have you ever found yourself surrounded by people and still felt alone? No connection to anyone? As if you were an alien? Well, Klee had this feeling while he was at a party and decided to go home. In this safe place she wrote her new single.

“Alien is about feeling anxious and uncomfortable socializing, and how that often triggers a reaction of missing someone. Whether it’s a lost love or a best friend – it’s about missing someone who always made you feel normal and “human.” – she vents.

Klee‘s release is a contemporary pop track with some synthesizers that let the song sound very sentimental, you can feel the longing to belong somewhere or someone in the singer’s voice. Listen now:

B.Ø.Y.is a singer, songwriter and record producer who is starting his independent career with the aim of exploring the many nuances and reigniting the R&B genre in the UK and worldwide. His debut single is titled “Intentions” and says the song was inspired by his last relationship, and describes how he felt before it became official.

About his new stage name, he declared that it is a message, a call for everyone to be themselves in any situation. “We are in 2022, no matter what gender you identify, what sexuality you are, what religion. This is the time to be yourself without remorse.” B.Ø.Y. (Be only Yourself ).

The musician is influenced by artists such as: Chris Brown, Pharrell Williams, Frank Ocean and Michael Jackson. Even if you’re not used to hearing this style, it’s worth giving B.Ø.Y’s new work a chance. after all, it’s practically impossible not to get involved by the beat, the well-marked bass that accompanies the singer’s soft, and at the same time intense, voice.

JUSTINA WARD – Under My Skin

Justina Ward is back with her new single completely different from the previous one to surprise any listener! In “Under My Skin” the singer reveals her rock n roll side with a brutal composition, but without leaving the charming beauty of her voice aside. This combination was essential to demonstrate all the intensity of the story told in her new single.

“Under My Skin” is about that heartbreaking ‘it’s not you, it’s me’ moment. The spiraling movement of thoughts and emotions is reinforced by an orchestra of strings and aggressive drums. The guitar and piano carry the feeling of pulsing tension as they gradually rise to a powerful growth. The orchestral accompaniment beautifully creates a sense of vulnerability and hurt.

Justina Ward‘s new work is intense, urgent and sensitive. Get ready to hear one of the most intriguing songs I’ve already played on #DIÁRIODESHOWINDICA:
