#DIÁRIODESHOWSINDICA: 10 bands for you to listen today – MUSOSOUP

Check it out new MUSOSOUP songs for this weekend soundtrack.

THE COOKIE JAR COMPLOT – NEO

I was delighted with ‘NEO’ the new single by the Luxembourg band. An instrumental composition, with sound characteristics of indie, prog metal, and alternative rock that brings a feeling of fun to my daily life. Like it’s a mood pill, you know?

As a jazz song, those played in old bars, the composition of The Cookie Jar Complot is a mixture of sensations that can leave you intrigued. After all, just when you think he’s going to repeat the same chord, they come up with new scales and harmonies that are completely eccentric and out of the ordinary.

The track feels like auditory experimentation, a joke between friends who are just improvising on their instruments. But if you look closely, it’s completely intelligent and well-written music.

Surprise yourself with The Cookie Jar Complot’s release, ‘NEO’:

BLACK STAR JACKALS – Down This Road

When I started listening to the single ‘Down This Road’ it was natural to think of Incubus and then, when the energetic chorus came out, the memory of Maroon5 came back to me. Although the band says that fans of bands like Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, and Royal Blood will identify with the Black Star Jackalsstyle of music, I have associated their sound with those artists I mentioned above.

“Down This Road explores the dangers and negativity of toxic relationships, both with others and with our own inner demons. Music can be seen as a challenging message, spoken aloud to another person, or even as an inner monologue, reminding us not to repeat old habits that can lead us into bad habits and down a dark path. Ultimately, it’s a positive song about finding the inner strength to say no and become a better person” – stated the band.

WILD GRAVITY – Comatose

The single ‘Comatose’ is suitable for those who enjoy melodic metal. But don’t be scared when you hear the first few seconds of the song, as it starts with some synthesizers and only later, the weight of the metal emerges with all its power. It’s almost 1 minute of preparation, and then the vocalist starts reciting his verses with increasing intensity.

Wild Gravity band members started talking about concerts, the music industry during the pandemic in early 2020, through Zoom. After finding many things in common, including appearances at the same shows, they decided to merge Ken’s already created instrumental works with Phil’s vocals. And that’s how the band Wild Gravity came about, and the first release ‘Comastose’.

DENNEY – Chemicals

The release by singer Emma Denney, who is also a British artist, talks about the challenge in relationships. It’s about self-sabotage, assuming history will always repeat itself. “I did it, I did it again / I hate the mistakes I made / I swear it’s not your fault it’s about myself” she sings sweetly.

‘Chemicals’ is a pop and romantic song, where you can feel the pain and regret in the singer’s voice. “I can’t be what you would like” – she vents right at the beginning of the song.

ALISSA KAY – See Ya Later

Alissa Kay is a pop singer from Los Angeles. While studying music production at Sam’s Recording Academy, she met Charles White(songwriter and producer), and then they created the single ‘See Ya Later’ entirely remotely. They still don’t know each other in person, but they managed to completely tune in and in just three days, the new single was ready!

The theme of ‘See Ya Later’ is inspired by a betrayal situation. But from a somewhat different perspective than what you expect when you think about it. This single isn’t about the pain of seeing someone break your heart, rather, it’s about having your self-esteem so intact that it’s easy to walk away knowing that it wasn’t you who lost.

“When you know you’re too good for that person, it’s easy to walk away. This is a song to listen to in the car while you walk away from this idiot,” declared Alissa.

Influenced by names like Katy Perry and Halsey, the Alissa and Charles track is a sensual pop with slight indie influences. It an easy to listen to and delicate music. Now listen to ‘See Ya Later’:
