#DIÁRIODESHOWSINDICA: the best singles of October PART II – MUSOSOUP

This month had a lot of wonderful releases on MUSOSOUP and I had to split it into two parts for you to hear everything! Check out now the second part of singles I selected this month.

JULIENT – For a While

The single ‘For a While’ is heavily influenced by the ’80s vibe and lavishes the use of synthesizers. On the other hand, Julient‘s deep and engaging voice creates a seductive environment for the listener.

The inspiration for this release came from an experience the singer had when he met a girl on the internet.

“I met a girl on the Internet and then we met in person and spent the night together. Obviously, we didn’t know much about each other, but there was a connection. We talked all night and she told me about her insecurities. I didn’t know how to cheer her up, say nice things to her, I just knew I wanted to hold her hand, even if it was just for a while, I wanted to make her feel good that she’s not alone and that she felt safe. Even though I didn’t know if we’d stay in touch, if we were going to see each other again, but I wanted to be there for her somehow. ” – declared the singer

BLANKS – Classic Armstrong

Do you know those songs that make us want to sing along? Well, ‘Classic Armstrong’ is one of them. The nostalgic track pays homage to Blanks’ first love. “The vibe, the sounds, the melodies: it reminds me of the music I heard when I had my first serious crush.” Tell the singer.

The single is charismatic, as is Blanks who has already won a legion of fans online on his youtube channel, where he shares his love of music. ‘Classic Armstrong’ is the third single from the Dutchman’s upcoming album and I’m sure you’ll awaken that feeling of teenage passion listening to this track.

GILLIWEED – H2MYC

‘H2MYC’ stands for Hate to Make You Cry and has elements of dark 80s synth-pop mixed with cute alternative tones, dirty bass, and breakbeats, all under an addictive emotional chorus. This entire mix emerged in the midst of the pandemic, while the duo, who now calls themselves Gilliweed, felt bored and decided to do some sound tests that resulted in new songs for the whole world.

But the result of this experiment between Saskia Clapton and Cat Sanzaro was just wonderful because they already have a certain musical experience, such as touring, solo album, and participation in television program bands (The Voice Australia), as well as some friends from the scene as well.

HARRISON RIMMER – The Travelist

This is the first promotional single from the album “Larkholme” slated for April 2022. This song combines all the influences Harrison Rimmer fans have learned to enjoy throughout his 10-year career as a singer-songwriter, from the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Frank Turner, Nirvana, Marvin Gaye & City and Color.

This song tells the story of a character who has traveled the world, seeking adventures and taking risks. She gets tired of her own existence and does everything she can to get up and go to the sea, the skies, and the highways.

An alternative rock track to maybe be your soundtrack in a few moments to go out there in search of an adventure.

FILIAH – In A Haunted House

‘In A Haunted House’ is the third and final promotion single from Filiah‘s upcoming concept album. All the songs from her upcoming album “For Someone” are lyrically intertwined, telling the composer’s honest and very personal story of pain, distorted perception, finding strength, and choosing herself again after ending a very toxic past relationship with someone.

“To me, this song feels like a journey through my diary entries. Seeing this whole toxic relationship from my past go through me again just made me realize that fighting for this person has made me very tired. with a ghost I’ve held for a long time. It’s the last song on my next album and ends on a much lighter note than the rest, reminding me that trusting people again is the hardest yet bravest thing you can do after the trauma. “

The single is extremely emotional. Filiah‘s nostalgic voice is incomparably charming and soft, which makes you want to listen for hours or even days.

NOVEMBER 2ND – 100 Years

The band November 2ND is formed by Nashville guitarist Todd Lombardo and famous producer and audio engineer Chad Blake. And after the release of the song ‘Iceland’, they were asked by the director of the Czech film, ‘Lifeline’ to record the official soundtrack.

The single ‘100 Years’ is an extremely sensitive song. With some guitar notes in the background that blend into the vocalist’s soft voice, you can feel certain loneliness and longing while listening to this song. In fact, one of the lines says “I wish my arms were strong enough to hold you”.
