#DIÁRIODESHOWSINDICA: 10 songs to listen this friday – MUSOSOUP

Today’s #DIÁRIODESHOWSINDICA has 10 more songs you can’t miss today!

LIIYO – The Reset EP

In this list I don’t usually mention EP’s, but when I heard the 2 songs from the new EP released this year by LIIYO, I enjoyed it so much that I decided to make this exception. Because it wasn’t in the singer’s plan to release “I Wish You Wasn’t In My Life” and “Echo” as a single work, however, he felt that the second track was so intense that he decided to change his plans and so “The Reset” was born.

In both, we can see the diversity of musical influences that the singer and composer carry and form their particular talent. He says that he grew up exposed to Rock, Reggae, Soul, Pop, and the most present reference is currently K-POP. In the first track, he tells the story about an abusive relationship in a danceable way, where he asks himself “Should I stay or go? Because of all the time I think I can’t take it anymore”.

The track that shook the structures of LIIYO‘s plans, “Echos”, is a little thicker than the first one and also talks about feelings. This time, he talks about how the lack of general support from many people affects him and other artists.

“Being in the music industry is already a very difficult thing and when an artist doesn’t have the support of many people in their social circle, it can certainly hurt their motivation; can make them question your way.” – he blurted out.

If you like a dance sound, come and see LIIYO‘s work:

ALEX DI LEO – Following Feelings

You know that feeling of wanting something until you find signs that you really should go down that path, but you think about all the possibilities so much that you end up stagnating? Alex Di Leo says that this year he felt that way and that’s why he wrote ‘Following Feelings’, after a long and reflective conversation with a friend.

We often get stuck in some pattern imposed by others and even by ourselves, as if changing was a betrayal. But an inner voice told Alex to go ahead without thinking too much and that’s what he did. “If something happens naturally and is good for you, you have to trust it. I think we often allow our minds to get in the way of following our true feelings.” – declared the singer.

How many times have we found ourselves saying these past few years that life is a blow? So we should take advantage of it to do what makes us excited and enjoy creating. If you’re in need of a kick, surely Alex Di Leo’s new release ‘Following Feelings’ will help give you that boost of excitement and certainty you’ve been looking for!

LUNATIA – C’è Il Sole

Elisa Mammoliti is a singer and actress from the Aosta Valley (Italy). After graduating in Economics for Art and Culture she decided to pursue a career as an actress/singer and graduated in Musical Theater in London. Now she has just released the single ‘C’è Il Sole’, which will delight you as if you were actually watching a musical live.

The single features a simple composition, a beautiful piano in the background that during the chorus is accompanied by other instruments that contribute to enhancing the beauty and delicacy of Lunatia‘s voice. It’s impossible not to close your eyes while listening to this track and imagine performing in a beautiful period theater!

Even without understanding a word of Italian, she manages to make me feel a happy calm as if we were walking through flowery fields and the birds were following us, can you imagine? She makes you want to go bouncing around like a Disney princess.

STEFANO CECE – Can’t Stay With You

The singer Stefano Cece is also Italian and even though he sings in English, he carries all the personality and influences of big names from the romantic pop scene in his country in his new single.

“Can’t Stay with You is a heartbreaking song you haven’t heard. The perfect song to scream in your car on a sad day. Acoustic guitars, synthesizers, and piano notes will take you to another world. It’s time for you to play it loud and sing along on a rainy night.” – he declared.

With that, you can already imagine that as soon as you press play, you’ll be screaming the chorus out loud, right?

AMANDA MCBRAYER – Fun

I didn’t want to, but I really identified myself with the concept that Amanda McBrayer brought in the single ‘Fun’. No, it’s not a song about funny things, at least not from the point of view of who becomes fun. The song is about that kind of relationship where the guy just treats you as a hobby, and I don’t know why, we often (used to) subject ourselves to that.

Amanda McBrayer wrote ‘Fun’ as a way to process a relationship where she felt the other person meant more to her than she ever did to him. Although she valued the moments spent with this person, she noted that he often forgot their memories together and treated her as a standard way to fill his time. Now, the singer dedicates this track to all of us who have been through something like this.

‘Fun’ is an indie folk composition with some pop characteristics, which is slightly reminiscent of Taylor Swift’s latest releases.

SYNEYE – In My Shadow

Morgane Matteuzzi (Syneye) is a Swiss-based singer-songwriter whose musical talent has a special touch. She has the ability to see colors in sounds, and for that reason, she uses electronics that are beautiful to her eyes to be part of her compositions that express her set of intense emotions. In addition to her musical talent and impeccable voice, she uses her synesthetic gift to create exceptional songs like her new single ‘In My Shadow’.

In this song, Syneye talks about her feelings after emerging from a very difficult period in her life. Writing this play allowed her to process her emotions and let go of some of those negative feelings she sometimes struggled to express.

The dark-pop of ‘In My Shadow’ will be impregnated in your head within the first few seconds. Syneye manages to lead the listener to an immersive experience in her feelings with this brand-new single.

FINCH FAUX – Winter Winds

This track I present to you now was written on a winter afternoon in Australia by Finch Faux. The single ‘Winter Winds’ is a demo of the singer’s debut album, slated for 2022. Here, she sings about trying to remain humble and assertive in an ever-changing world, and explains that for her, “deal with this balance it’s my big challenge.”

The track features a constant presence of synthesizers, strong drums, smooth melody and Finch Faux‘s voice floats through the notes like the wind. The lyrics of ‘Winter Winds’, on the other hand, present words of encouragement and empathy, without leaving aside a menacing warning of defiance. This is a totally personal song for the artist. Will you have the courage to enter your private world? If yes (and I recommend), press play without hesitation!

IRENIC – Glow

Irenic started taking his first steps in music at the age of 7, while strumming his piano. He recently graduated in music production and started to share with anyone willing to know his work, his very particular compositions. After all, Irenic isn’t used to expressing his feelings in public, but all his shyness vanishes when he starts to sing what he feels.

The inspiration to compose his third single ‘Glow’ comes from observing how many people fail to enjoy the moment of solitude and end up being dependent on other people for their livelihood.

“I feel so dark when I try to shine” he repeats without me pulsing chorus. The pop-electronic track is smooth and comfortable, as is her voice. Discover Irenic’s work and get ready for the next release that is about to come!

IULIANO – On the Radio

Generally, the songs we are used to listen on the radio are easy to be received by our auditory system. That basic composition without many surprises. And the paradox we find in the new single by Italian singer-songwriter Iuliano, which goes by the name ‘On the Radio’ and is unlike anything you and I are used to hearing around.

“I start with an accessible melody, but then I present the listener with different scenarios that evolve from the original idea.”Iuliano.

The participation of nylon strings alongside electric guitars, makes a counterpoint to the complex melodies in which he created. Result of all his musical influence over the years, which include progressive rock, jazz, in addition to his experience as an engineer and travels to Thailand, Southeast Asia, and Malaysia.

The recent single is part of the album “De-Algorithm”, slated for April 2022, where he makes a parody with the digital world. A concept album of a character who suddenly disappears. “I started this project as a testament. If something happened to me tomorrow, I would like to have something to represent me. All the songs I’ve done so far have been just a compromise. “ he claims. It’s time for you to get to know the type of music that fully represents the Italian singer-songwriter and producer Iuliano.

THE NGHBRS – Better Off

Heavily influenced by the indie band The Lumineers, Ryan who is the singer-songwriter and producer behind the lyrical self The NGHBRS, where he decided to put into words his feeling about that moment when we were starting to bond with someone and we realized it would be better to just be good friends.

In ‘Better Off’ the mix of indie pop and synthesizers creates a calm atmosphere where the decision to end doesn’t seem to be so devastating. It was after moving from town and spending a week away from the person he was meeting that this thought popped into his head.

The feeling I had when listening to the sound of The NGHBRS was something related to the beach/nature like surf music, you know? And when I went to take a look at his instagram, I wasn’t surprised by the pictures at the sea, waterfalls and electronic music festivals. If you like this style too, you will definitely enjoy ‘Better Off’.
